2019 Annual Bonfire Information

The annual bonfire is a tradition that has been a part of the Hunterdon Huskies for many years. Held just before our season opening friendship games, it is an evening full of true Huskies Spirit. There is lots of terrific food and fantastic fun for our athletes! The Huskies families fill the sidelines and cheer for each of the teams as they are brought on to the field and introduced. Our terrific cheerleaders amaze us with the awesome routines that they have been working hard to put together in what feels like a very short period of time. As the evening winds down and cools off, it is wrapped up with a phenomenal bonfire. 

 

8/23/18 FINAL BONFIRE SCHEDULE AND DETAILS

Location: Union Forge Field, High Bridge, NJ

Time: Begins at 6:00pm

 

HUSKIES FOOTBALL PLAYER & CHEERLEADER ATTIRE/ARRIVAL TIMES

Coaches will instruct athletes what to wear and report times.

 

BONFIRE SCHEDULE

  • 6:00-6:45pm Buffet [WRISTBANDS REQUIRED], apparel barn, and tech support open

  • 6:45PM - Coaches/Athletes to gather with teams in front of the press box for last minute instructions, parents/visitors assemble along the sidelines.  

  • 7:00PM - 2019 Huskies Group Photo - Photo will be distributed to all families on social media and via email. Only staff and athletes may be on the field during this time. For younger athletes, after you bring your child to their coach please return to sidelines.

  • 7:15PM - 8:15PM Announcing of 2019 teams, cheer teams perform, 50/50 called

  • 8:30PM - Lighting of bonfire

  • 9:00ish - Wrap up

Catered Buffet from The Real Deal BBQ [WRISTBANDS REQUIRED]

Assortment of hamburgers, hot dogs, juicy BBQ chicken, pulled pork, baked beans, cole slaw

 

WRISTBAND DISTRIBUTION AT THE SNACK SHACK

Advance purchase wristbands were given to your team representative yesterday. If your team did not have practice yesterday; or your athlete was not at practice, please visit the snack shack at 6pm and on.

**COACHES PLEASE RETURN ANY WRISTBANDS TO THE SNACK SHACK PRIOR TO EVENT TONIGHT SO THERE IS ONE CENTRAL PICKUP LOCATION.**

BUFFET WristbandS FOR SALE AT SNACK SHACK (CHECK or cash only)

Advanced purchase is over, if you don’t have a wristband for the buffet, ticket can be purchased at the snack shack between 6-6:45pm.

  • $20 per adult, 12 and over

  • $15 per child, athlete or not, under 12

Available for purchase at the snack shack between 6-6:45pm; after that time you’ll see Rebecca V. or Kathy R. around the field selling tickets.

APPAREL BARN

6-6:45pm – While we have limited new merchandise and a new online store, we have some merchandise at very deep discounts available tonight, stop by and see Stephanie.

SPORTSENGINE TECH SUPPORT

6-6:30pm Stop by the Apparel Barn to see Kim for assistance or questions with the SportsEngine desktop website/mobile app we use for communication. Make sure you have your login id and password.

 

SEATING

Bring beach chairs and blankets (picnic style on the ‘away team’ sideline; the home side of the field with main bleachers is reserved for staff only; and where the coaches and athletes assemble tonight).

 

PARKING

Carpool or allow extra time to park. We have over 100 families all arriving at approximately the same time. Please do not park or double-park on the field, grass or curbs at any time.

 

VOLUNTEERS

All volunteers must check-in and sign-out at the snack shack
